My thick hair!?

I just took my hair out of braides and washed it so its real thick. Plz Gimme a hairstyle I could wear to school tomorrow!

My thick hair!?

mabye you could leave it long, than take your bangs if they are long and twist them together than put it in a pony tail! that easy. Now if you have bangs put you hair in twisted pigtails and do a zig zag part.I have did my hair numerous times like these styles................so dont think i am making up these styles!

My thick hair!?

Just pull it up into a ponytail or cute messy bun. Messy buns turn out great with thick hair. Its hot (at least where I am), so be cute and comfortable.

My thick hair!?

Pony tail! they ALWAYS work!

My thick hair!?

Wear a perm, maybe? Or a hard press...?

My thick hair!?

Curl only the bottoms...about 2 inches of it(: You'll look like katharine mcphee and everyone will give you a compliment!

My thick hair!?

pony tail.

My thick hair!?

nothing more beautiful than a thick glossy fro. Bring back the 70's.

My thick hair!?

a loose pony tail looks good... i had really thick hair after layering it a lot and that always looked natural.

My thick hair!?

You could try to straigent it that might bring it down so it wont also be puffy!

My thick hair!?

Why don't you try strighting it and than taking a clip and putting it up with your bangs i do it all the time.

My thick hair!?

If you didn't have to do to much combing it should still be very wavy. and since it's been up in braids for awhile why don't you just wear it hanging down and wavy. That looks to cute. But do bring along a hair tie just in case it gets on your nerves or begins to do the lion king thing you can pull it back into a loose ponytail.

How to scrunch thick long hair?

okay so i have longg hair about passed my breast, and its very thick. and should i wake up early in the morning to do it?

or do it before i go to bed, like i do with all my other hair styles.

please describe how. and what should i do!

thanks!

Solutions for extremley thick curly hair??

I have been growing my hair for the last 7 - 8 months but I am almost at the point of giving up, My hair is so thick and curly its impossible to do anything with it. When its dry its a 6 inch high afro look alike. I can only slick it back which makes me look like some 80's wanna be. I was tempted to get it chemically straightened but have been a wee bit scared off with alot of comments that i've come across. Ideally i dont want to touch the length or 'thin it out much'. Any ideas on what I can do?? Thanks...

Solutions for extremley thick curly hair??

seriously, thinning it out will make a huge difference (i have curly hair toooooo!) it makes it nicer curls, but more defined and less 'poofy'!

Solutions for extremley thick curly hair??

so you got a jewfro?

What's a good hair cut for thick curly hair?

i always get the same thing!! im tired of it!! past shoulders, long layers! and it still sometimes looks like a pyramid!! is there anyone that knows some other way to cut curly thick hair so it looks stylish, and nice without poofing up? i use get, mousse whatever and it still looks so thick!!

What's a good hair cut for thick curly hair?

I have thick curly hair, and I'm straightening it right now... and I have long layers down to my shoulders. BUT, a few years ago, I got an inverted bob. Done properly it looks awesome. That style is back now.

If you want the long look of it, but you don't want to have "tipi head" (as I like to call it) you should ask your stylist to razor it so it's less thick towards the bottom of your head. Or have your stylist cut it so it fits your face better.

What's a good hair cut for thick curly hair?

Long hair is the best for curly hair because curly hair looks so great long, especially in spiral curls.

What's a good hair cut for thick curly hair?

have your hair thinned and get the cut you want

What's a good hair cut for thick curly hair?

ok this has nothing to do with it, but i have the same problem. i hate my hair.

What's a good hair cut for thick curly hair?

value the hair you have.

its what makes you you.

i'd give my right eye for any type of hair

What's a good hair cut for thick curly hair?

Hey, i have the exact same problem. I resorted to getting a different part...it actually helped...

What's a good hair cut for thick curly hair?

two words....mo....hawk..

What's a good hair cut for thick curly hair?

get shorter layers but still leave it long long hair is beautiful

What's a good hair cut for thick curly hair?

maybe u should pony tail it so the next day it will be more clam!! as a hair cut maybe u should get side bangs or cut it really short or ask ur hair stylist to do twisties and mosse the back; ask ur hair stylist for the best moose for ur hair!! and hair looks beautiful nice and long!!

What's a good hair cut for thick curly hair?

u sound spanish....stop putting so much in your hair especially GEL! no moose......juts keep it dry and blown out..and when you get it done try wrapping it like the black girls do..then maybe it would stay one way!

What's a good hair cut for thick curly hair?

look im the same way and flat hiar isnt any thing to love.

i mean when i see girls like that i say too bad there hiar is so flat bland and boring thick hair is somthing to love and it also means its healthy

p.s. dont cut it cause you will hate your self if you do

What's a good hair cut for thick curly hair?

A little past shoulder length (so it's not too long as it will take forever to style) and lots of chunky layers. Put a nice paste or curl cream in and BAM! Sexy bed-head looking curls.

What's a good hair cut for thick curly hair?

You can try adding extensions to your hair so it's longer and you can perm it straight for a year at the salon, They have really great techniques.

What's a good hair cut for thick curly hair?

thinning out thick hair is another way to make your style look different, if you get it cut shorter have them thin it out so it won't be so poofy.

i don't have curls but i do have thick hair and i have to have it thinned out whenever i get it cut otherwise it looks like i've had my hand on one of those static electricity ball things.

try this site out http://www.thehairstyler.com/

I'm not really sure if this is what you're looking for, but some excellent options for thick hair include:

Sedu Hair Styles: Let the hair閳ユ獨 thickness speak for itself with a straight, thick look, particularly for long hair.

Layered Hair Styles: Cutting layers into thick hair can lighten the locks at any length, giving the hair more movement, bounce, and flexibility.

Partial Updos: A partial updo style is elegant and exotic for thick hair that may not be able to be contained in a standard full updo.

Hair Styles with Bangs: Adding bangs to any look will help lighten and loosen thick hair by trimming away locks near the face. This is also a better way to wear thick hair with a delicate face shape.

Medium Lengths: Medium length styles are particularly gorgeous with thick hair because the hair will add natural volume and luxury to the style without additional products.

Tapered Tips: Tapering the ends of thick hair into a delicate fringe adds texture and character to voluminous locks.

Braid Hair Styles: A thick braid is heavy and elegant, and there are many ways to incorporate braids into thick hair for either fun or sophisticated styles.

Short Shags: If the thick hair causes headaches, opting for a short shag hair style is an easy option that is stylish and quick to care for.

Ponytails: A thick hair ponytail is flirtatious and fun and helps narrow the hair閳ユ獨 volume near the head for better control.

I really hope this helps you!

You maybe tired of long hair just like others get tired of short hair. Get yourself one of those contraptions that will straighten yoour hair and see what happens. I am a guy and have been from butt length to ear length and being 43 I still dont know what looks best. On that I will say, what you see as drab and boring, is another persons desire.

Try different things it breaks up the monotany and it feels cool having a different look once and a while. Or try just a small amount of Gel and use it on the length not the top it will add weight to pull the top down. Remember you can allways hit a shop that has the computer software that will take your picture and put different styles on ya so you get an idea what you will look like in different styles.

At any rate dont lose sleep over it you probably have beautiful long curly hair and enjoy it while you have it, it tends to disappear as you get older ;)

What's a good hair cut for thick curly hair?

first things first, get your product routine in order. try mixed chicks prodcts. they have a simpe routine that will tame frizz. then go show your stylist some good picts, and don't be afraid to stop her in the middle if it isn't going right.

good luck.

how do i get my hair that thick!

i am going to get it cut in that style but i cant get my fringe to go up..i live in canada and i can't find any good gel!

How will i get my hair as thick as his! Pictures of me!?

umm yah i nned to sign up to see that, and i really dont want to try another pic. . . . i live in canda too, theres plenty of gels, but thats why you screwing it up, hes probably not using gel, fibre putty, and texture paste give you thick hair, some root lift mousse can help, blowdrying add volume, and there you go, you can get just about any hair product you want at shoppers drug mart. . . . canada isnt that limited in hair stuff (although we seem to be in clothing. . . . )

Can i achieve a Pete Wentz hair style with really thick and curly hair?

youd have to straighten every day. you should go for a slash look more than a pete wentz look

Can i achieve a Pete Wentz hair style with really thick and curly hair?

Maybe if you flat ironed it

I have really thick hair and no matter what I do to my Hair it doesn't scrunch. what do I do?

I tried taking a shower at night, putting it in a french braid and scrunching my hair in the morning, using alot of mousse, gel and hairspray. my friend has the same problem and neither of us even look like we have thick hair but it is.

I have really thick hair and no matter what I do to my Hair it doesn't scrunch. what do I do?

I guess your hair isn't the hair scrunching kind.

I have really thick hair and no matter what I do to my Hair it doesn't scrunch. what do I do?

just leave it on only try to but some lemon %26amp; conditioner it will work

I have really thick hair and no matter what I do to my Hair it doesn't scrunch. what do I do?

do ur hair and it will look good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

I have really thick hair and no matter what I do to my Hair it doesn't scrunch. what do I do?

Try a crimping iron or hot rollers

I have really thick hair and no matter what I do to my Hair it doesn't scrunch. what do I do?

have you tried aussie scrunch spray

I have really thick hair and no matter what I do to my Hair it doesn't scrunch. what do I do?

Ok, well I have the EXACT same problem. I went out and bought special conditioner it's called Curl Life by Matrix. I shower in the morning and use the shampoo and conditioner. Than i get out and rub the leave in curl creme into my hair. Next I use a diffuser and blowdry my hair. I then spray it with the Curl Life curl definer and my hair is scrunched!

What can I do about my thick, coarse hair?

I have that is very thick and coarse, and it looks poofy unless I put something in it. It's almost like hair that should be curly but is straight. My dad's hair is like mine but his is a little curly (he's italian) and my mom's is thick too but straight (she's irish).

So what can I do about my hair? I've used conditioners and currently I've switched to Redken for Men, it's like $10 a bottle and I've tried two kinds - one is called aquafy which is a shampoo/conditioner to hydrate the hair (thought this would help cuz it's dry), and then I tried get relaxed, it says "smoothing shampoo for coarse, unruly hair."

I spend a lot of money on this stuff, it works OK but doesn't do too much. My hair just looks POOFY all the time, unless it's really short like for about a week after I just get it cut. I used to gel it all the time, that would help a lot but I hate having gel in my hair and it's a pain to put it in every day.

Any advice? Ideas?

What can I do about my thick, coarse hair?

Ok. First off, you never said how long your hair is now! If you have short hair, the longer you grow it; more the puffiness will subside. The more layers you have, the more your hair will look BIG. The longer the layers the better. I would also suggest thinning the hair at about an 1" from the roots (depending on how coarse your hair is.) (a straight razor is best)

If your hair is shorter I suggest major texturizing with a straight razor. (throughout, (root to end)) I would try a different stylist.

Redkin Allsoft ( the heavy cream conditioner ) %26amp; their regular "All Soft " daily shampoo %26amp; conditioner is great as well. The heavy texturizing will make your hair light %26amp; spikeyish. The messy look. This is the look for today!

I am afraid gel or wax type products are needed with any style or hair type. Good Luck!!! Dar P.S. At least you have plenty of hair to work with! You can always take hair away but if you have nothing to work with to start, you really lose.

What can I do about my thick, coarse hair?

You need to get your hair thinned

I have long thick dark hair, I need new hairdo ideas (not cuts, just new hairdo...things)?

Good Hair Cut for Thick Curly Hair?

I'm 14 and my hair is getting long so I'm going for a haircut. I don't know what I want though. My hair is thick, brown and curly. Right now it's about mid-back length. I want to wear it down a bunch, but still put it up in a ponytail a lot too. Any ideas?

Good Hair Cut for Thick Curly Hair?

From what i hear the buzz on Fall 2007 is that curly girls should opt for a wedged bob.

Good Hair Cut for Thick Curly Hair?

I have the exact same hair type and color. I am 15 by the way. I get my hair cut about 3 or 4 inches below my shoulder and then have my hairdresser give me "short choppy layers" that start about 2 inches below my ears. It sounds short but i promise you can still put it in a ponytail. It looks great to wear curly: just put come frizz ease moose while it is still wet and before you go to bed. It looks good straightened with a flat iron too.

hope that helped.

tiffany.

Good Hair Cut for Thick Curly Hair?

My hair is also thick curly. The best thing is to cut it short now and see if you'll like it. If you don't you can just grow it out.

I have really thick hair????

my mom likes this one haircut but i dont

wat should i do with my hair its about shoulder length, dirty blonde and i always need to straiten it cause its sooo thick

I have really thick hair????

mine is really thick too, i always have starightin it, do not thin it out i did that, and it mess up your hair and makes it frizzy. i wear it to the side

I have really thick hair????

getting layers will thin out your hair.

I have really thick hair????

What you should do is have your hair razored. So its thinner. Its hard for people with thick hair to get shorter haircuts because it just adds to the body and makes it even bigger. Ive seen this work really well for people. It will look so cute while keeping the cut your mom likes. a win win

How can i make my thick coarse hair more "fine"?

Im a guy and i have EXTREMELY thick hair that is also coarse. my hair has always been a problem. its kind of long(almost to the bottom of my neck). My hair is usually way to poofy and it gets really annoying. My hair is also usually dry. ive tried lots of moisturizing shampoos and they work ok but my hair is still dry. I dont mind the thickness but i wish it was more fine. so basically i wish i had fine, thick hair. any advice on how i could give it a more "fine" look to it?

How can i make my thick coarse hair more "fine"?

I know you said that you want your hair to still be thick but i think the best thing would be to as the person who cuts your hair to thin it so it is not so thick. I think it will help out a lot with making it look fine. I too have thick hair and asking to get it thinned really helps me out.

How can i make my thick coarse hair more "fine"?

Try CHI Silk Infusion. It'll make your hair feel silkier and softer.

You can't change the texture of your hair though.

How can i make my thick coarse hair more "fine"?

use less conditoner

How can i make my thick coarse hair more "fine"?

Well you could have it thinned out at a barbershop. They can thin out your hair to make it less thick.

I'm a girl and my hair is the same way. Don't wash your hair everyday, it will be more dry. Always air dry your hair and when you have conditioner in, try leaving it in after you've gotten out of the shower and then rinsing it after half an hour, this really condions your hair and moisterizes it.

How can i make my thick coarse hair more "fine"?

You can get your hair thinned out at a salon

How can i make my thick coarse hair more "fine"?

i know that you are a guy but have you tried layering it?

How can i make my thick coarse hair more "fine"?

you should go to a good styles and ask her to thin out your hair. thats if you have layered hair but other than that theres not much you can do.

How can i make my thick coarse hair more "fine"?

Get John Frieda de- volumiser. Takes out the volume

How can i make my thick coarse hair more "fine"?

While I'm a woman, I am also blessed with thick, coarse hair. After you wash your hair, use a volume taming conditioner. Then let it dry naturally rather than drying with a hair dryer. If you wish, use the hair dryer when your hair is almost dry.

How can i make my thick coarse hair more "fine"?

Don't thin your hair at the shop. All that does is make your hair more frizzy.

How can i make my thick coarse hair more "fine"?

that is SO hot!! don't change a thing,. if anythign get a haircut to about your ears-lenth but TRUST Me...we love a man with thick dark hair ;]

Whats a good hairstyle for long, thick, curly blonde hair?

okay, so i have long curly blonde hair. its really thick and whats weird about it is that a section in the front of it is straight. its really annoying cuz theres always a straight section in my ponytail. anyways, im getting my hair cut for locks of love. will it be to poofy to get cut short? whats a good style for now when its long and then when its short?

Whats a good hairstyle for long, thick, curly blonde hair?

omg!! i was looking to do this same thing and my hair sounds EXACTYLY like yours!! i decided to let mine grow out a little bit first, because when i get my hair cut it poofs out like a mushroom....lol. it might be a little poofy, so you can either wait or try some of these tips:

buy those soft curlers and sleep in them. it is soooo easy and you save so much time in the morning. you just take them out and only brush the top of your hair otherwise you brush right through the curls. then use hairspray, not mousse. ive found that a great brand of hairspray is matrix hairspray. and for looser, messier curls, you separate each curl in two. it is a more casual, less shirley temple look.

then for waves, sleep in braids. (the number depending on how wavy you want your hair. i would probably recommend about eight or so) then you just take them out in the morning and just brush the top of your hair. you can use hairspray, but i usually dont need it, but then again, my hair holds waves really well......

and if you shower in the morning, scrunch your hair with mousse and it looks pretty good but might get a little frizzy.

and to get a curled, more voluminous ponytail, here is what you do. just put your hair up in a ponytail before bed, then put anywhere from 1-3 curlers in it (depending on how much hair you have and how thick it is and how big you want your curls) then when you wake up, roll them right out, and re-tie your ponytail holder and brush the top of your head, without brushing down the curls. you can put hairspray in if you want, but you might not even need to for just a ponytail.

and as for just regular hairstyles, i would try sidebangs or whispy bangs instead of thick ones......dont know ....

you can also do buns, because they are pretty in, or low pigtails, but you might be a little old for them, but my sister in college looks cute in them so i dont know.....

and side ponytails are cute and sporty.

as for hairbands, very cute and in!!!

u could wear your hair half-up, leaving your bangs down.....

good luck!! hope i helped!!!

Whats a good hairstyle for long, thick, curly blonde hair?

you should let it down or put in in pigtails.

Whats a good hairstyle for long, thick, curly blonde hair?

Buns or Ponytails and maybe even try chopsticks

Whats a good hairstyle for long, thick, curly blonde hair?

My friend has short curly brown hair and she has the same problem with it being straight in the back. It probably wont be too puffy. Try straightening it.

Whats a good hairstyle for long, thick, curly blonde hair?

i think it will be a little puffy but you can always straighten it

Whats a good hairstyle for long, thick, curly blonde hair?

Please do NOT donate your hair to "Locks of Love". They are a complete scam ! Check out give.org's take on them:

http://www.give.org/reports/care2_dyn.as...

Locks of love made only 113 wigs in an entire year, they SELL the majority of the hair received (for extensions) and they do not allow for independent auditing of their financial records. Who knows where the money from selling hair really goes to, somebody's pocket perhaps ?

A lot of hair doesn't even make it Locks of Love, type in "human hair ponytail" on EBay and look at all those listings. That hair is being sold to hair fetishists.

If you don't mind your hair ending up on Paris Hilton's back or sold to a pervert though ....... go ahead and "donate"

Poofy, coarse, thick curly hair (Male.)?

I'm a 16 year old guy with thick, poofy-ish, curly hair; medium length. And what I'm aiming for though is a short-medium silkier hairstyle where my hair would actually just stay down, stay smooth, shine, wave and curl all at the same time. I'm tired of using Mousse to keep it down.

What Shampoo/Conditioners; %26amp; Hair Products would you recconmend.

Poofy, coarse, thick curly hair (Male.)?

Dude...I have the same situation. I'm 16 and I hate my curly hair and wish i had straight hair instead. It you would like to keep it long but managable try the chi hair straightening method. Its expensive and takes about 3 hours but thats what I found worked the best for me...

Poofy, coarse, thick curly hair (Male.)?

Try to flat iron it. %26amp; use some like Garnier Fructis, catwalk, Stufff like that. I use it %26amp; it works really nice. %26amp; Buy some leave-in conditioners too.

Good hair cut for 2 year old boy with THICK straight hair?

My son is about to turn 2 years old, he has really thick straight brown hair. So far we have just been giving him "the buzz" cut. It worked fine since it's so hot in the summer but now it's cooling down. We haven't cut his hair for 4 weeks now and it's so thick he's starting to look like he has a helmet on...lol

so, does anyone have any pics of a cute hair cut for a boy?

New Hair Cut for thick hair??

New Hair Cut for thick hair??

i have really thick hair so i got layerss and angles it really looks good!!

New Hair Cut for thick hair??

try layers =)

New Hair Cut for thick hair??

Why do they make so many volumizing shampoos but no shampoos that make really thick hair thinner????

i dont know but it really makes me mad cause i have long thick curly dark brown hair and it is agonizingly hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i wish they made shampoo that made it thinner too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do they make so many volumizing shampoos but no shampoos that make really thick hair thinner??????????????

The vast majority of people want thicker hair, not thinner. Anyway, it's much easier, chemically speaking to add water than to subtract protein from hair.

Why do they make so many volumizing shampoos but no shampoos that make really thick hair thinner??????????????

Just go get your hair thinned out at a salon. It is so much easier to add water and plump up cuticles of the hair than it is to take anything out of hair.

Super thick hair prob?

my hair is really thick and i like it but it will get frizzy and i cant get it to lay flat

what are some styles or cuts that might make it look better?

it is pretty long right now but im thinking of getting it cut

help?

Super thick hair prob?

I too have long thick hair, what helps me is to by a good quality shampo%26amp; conditioner, then apply a leave in conditioner and apply a smoothing serum, not gel, or anything else but a serum , then blow dry or use a ceramic straightener.A good style cut that worked for me was to get it spliced and layered heavily , giving emphasis to your hair style not the thick hair, it looks sexy and very kool. You can also do it up, or do many different styles with this type of style cut.

Super thick hair prob?

Have it layered and highlighted. It will be soft and managable.

Super thick hair prob?

I think the reason your hair gets frizzy, is that you have too much hair. I suggest thinning out your hair with thinning shears or to straighten you hair with a ceramic hair straightener and also using John Freida's Frizz Serum.

Super thick hair prob?

mine is pretty thick and curly/wavy. medium length and i had it cut in three layers. that will take some of the volume off. about the frizz...i use pantene, the new shampoo and conditioner they just started selling. advanced therapy for damaged hair. makes my hair super soft and no frizz!

Super thick hair prob?

You can get it layered, permed and keep it long,or cut it shorter, and have it layered then use the right hair products on your type of hair.A hair straighter wand will help with straighting your hair..Professional help that is affordable to you will help you decide,Good Luck

Super thick hair prob?

i also have thick hair that gets frizzy. get some long layers it will help get rid of some of the bulkiness. also try a serum. i use brilliant brunettes gloss. it helps to tame the frizz especially in the heat and humidity just dont use too much or your hair will get greasy.

Straightening really thick hair?

i have REALLY thick hair.. and it doesnt always straighten completely flat.. any tips for how to make it really straight without being poofy still

Straightening really thick hair?

I have the same problem

my friend told me to put my hair on the top of my head in a bun and let down a little bit at a time and straighten that little bit. it takes just a bit longer BUT it's worth it!

Straightening really thick hair?

ok well first put some heat protectant in it (like really anything or even mousee will work) i use stuff by Sunsilk. Then put your hair a lil more than half way up (like put a lil more than half of our hair up in a clip or something) and start to straignten the bottom part then when thats done you undo your hair and let a lil moe down...it takes a while but i have EXTREMLY thick hair and it makes it flat for me

(and put a lil it of hairspray on afterwards to keep it straight)

Straightening really thick hair?

Chemically straighten it if you hair is in good condition..

Or you could go to a salon and ask them to thin your hair, that would be best.

but if neither is an option use a good straightening serum.

Straightening really thick hair?

chi iron %26amp; smoothing serum. works every time.

Straightening really thick hair?

when you flat iron it take small sections, it takes a little longer but its worth it.

Straightening really thick hair?

I know exactly how you feel. First of all, when you get out of the shower, don't blow dry it straight. Put it back in a pony tail, and let it air dry. This will take out a lot of the poof. Wait until your hair has completely dried before you straighten it, so you won't singe or fry your hair, and just make the poof worse. Before you go to straighten your hair, take a straightening serum and work through your hair with your hands, then comb or brush your hair. You can find a lot at Wal-Mart. Just any kind will do. It looks clear and oily, pretty much, and it's pretty thick. You don't have to get the expensive kind either. It's all the same. When you're done with that, pull your hair a little more then half way up, then straighten the little bit of hair you have hanging down. When you're done with that, pull a little more hair down and straighten along with the hair you already have down. Keep doing until you've done all your hair. Style the way you want to wear it, and do any touch-ups that you may have missed. It may seem like a long process, but once you start doing it a lot more, it takes less time. Hope this helped!

Straightening really thick hair?

do it in sections. take the bottom... say 6th of your hair and straighten it. do the next 6th until your whole hair is done. do it when your hair is damp, so then it wont add as much volume as if it had been blowdried or dried naturally. have a go at thinning your hair.

Straightening really thick hair?

pretty much what bored9222 said, make sure it's brushed out completely before you start, then take the brush and like your gonna put your hair in a pony tail, put most of your hair up but leave a little down. I spray the heat protectent on layer by layer so it gets to all my hair. Keep letting more hair down until all your hair is straight. If you have bangs i do those last. Also, make sure your straightener is at the highest heat setting. Good Luck

Some good heat protection products are:

Nexxus Heat Protexx

Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight finishing spray

It also helps to put some de-firzz cream or moose in your hair while its still wet. I use Sunsilk Anti-Poof 24/7 cream

Straightening really thick hair?

I would try using a really thick conditioner, and then combing (from ends to root w/ conditioner still in) very gently with a wide tooth comb.

How to make my thick thick hair thinner?

My hair is mid back when its straightened. Its frizzy/curly/poofy when its natural (biracial). It's REALLY REALLY thick too. Like a handful of my hair is half of most peoples hair.

How can I make it thinner? Some people say get it layered, can anyone find a good picture of a layered cut?

Thanks in advance =]

How to make my thick thick hair thinner?

When you go to the salon, tell them you want them to cut the bulk out so it lays better, its a way of texturizing the hair...

How to make my thick thick hair thinner?

layer it

How to make my thick thick hair thinner?

when you get your hair cut have you ever asked then to thin your hair??? my hair is really thick too... and every time i get it cut i have them thin it out... it really helps out on my head and i think it will on your head too...

if not that layers might work... but i am getting tired of always getting layers in my hair... some of them are to short and the rest are too long... but if your hair is as thick as you say it is, layers might be the solution for you...

don't forget to ask about thinning your hair at your next appoinment!!! :)

How to make my thick thick hair thinner?

I have the same problem with my hair but i went to go get it cut in layers but i got razor blade layers now my hair is thin and easily straightened.

How to make my thick thick hair thinner?

Ask a hair stylist in your area if he/she they know how.

There are special ways to cut hair to make it thinner, without taking off length.

good luck!

How to make my thick thick hair thinner?

I have the same problem and getting layers was the best thing I did. It really made my hair thin out! Good luck!!

How to make my thick thick hair thinner?

my hair is thick too, I don't know how I found this out but one day I wanted to thin my hair, I heard a razor blade worked well but I didn't have one.... so I got my succors and opened them all the way (both points sticking out like a line) and went picked a section of my hair and glided the open succors through my hair (while pressing the scissors hard through my hair), it worked really well for me, now my hair is thinner and moves more =]... I don't really know how to describe that well, but maybe it gives you an idea on how to do it yourself?? good luck!!

I have thick wavy poofy hair.?

I have really thick, wavy hair. It looks great when it is wet but once it air dries it goes into a big ball of poofyness. What can i do to make my hair be back wavy or super straight. i know I cna starighten it everyday but that i sooooo damaging to my ahir and I know I can get it thinned out but my hairstylist told me that would make my hair super frizzy.

What other options do I have.?

Should I gte it permamntly straightened or relaxed. What will each do and what will each look like.

Also do you have any easy every day hairstyles I cna do to stop the poofyness.. please provide easy instructions. My hair is always in a ponytail so i would like to keep it down..

THANKS A ZILLION!

I have thick wavy poofy hair.?

i've got the same hair!

this is what I do to keep my poofy hair nice and straight.

1. after taking a shower, put sunsilks anti frizz creme on hair.

(you can put it on while hair is wet, or when hair is damp)

2. don't use a hair dryer, it only makes hair poofy-er.

3. when hair is finished drying, straighten your hair.

4. straighten ur hair in sections. and work ur way.

hope that helps (:

I have thick wavy poofy hair.?

hair milk is really..go to a drugstore and to the hair section and look throguh all the gels/mousses and stuff and pick up a bottle of hair milk and test a bit in your hair to see which smells good and doestn feel to greasy...its not like gel or mousse so it won't make your hair crunchy, it'll give your hair mositure while keeping poof down and keep waves nice and bouncy.

I have thick wavy poofy hair.?

use sunsilk straight it really works try it.

I have thick wavy poofy hair.?

well first of all you should definitely get it chemically straightened at a beauty salon (magic straight). it would cost about $130 but is worth the money since it lasts for about a year before your hair starts going back to your natural texture again.

if you want to stop the poofyness i recommend you should buy some conditionor or "thin hair" spray from really anywhere. drugstores, walmart, target. ... you name it

hmm i dont really know so much advice about getting straight hair but getting magic straight is a must if u want straight hair. my hair is naturally really straight so yea hehe.

well i don't know if this helped much but good luck! =]

I have thick wavy poofy hair.?

since your hair is kinda on the frizzy side, you should pick styles that have that bed head look...

my hair is like that too and I choose the get the hairstyle of corrine bailey rae, it hids my frizz and the new growth and my perm...

The style I do for my hair is using perm rods, setting lotion and a blow drier.

The bigger the perm rods, the bigger the curls

-mist your hair with a mixture of setting lotion and water

-take a section of hair and wrap it around the perm rod

-once finished the whole head, let air dry for at least an hour

than blow dry the rest

-take out hair and fix curls with fingers

spray lightly with hairspray

to maintain the look you have to twist the strands together each night and untwist them in the morning.

It will end up look like this...

http://eil.com/Gallery/350372b.jpg

http://991.com/newGallery/Corinne-Bailey...

this style is funky, and for me it took a day to get used to. But now people can't get enough of it.

If that style wasn't for you, than do not try the relaxer. It breaks down the structure of your hair leaving it weaker and more prone to damage, breaking off, dryness, split ends, tangles and so much more. If that doesnt seem like much to you think of this...

Some one's leg bone broken and put into a cast to heal. Those times that it heals it's very sensitive, being treated like china dishes. And once it heals, it will NEVER BE THE SAME. It won't support the same weight like it used to, the bone won't sustain as much abuse as before, and It might not even look to same...

the only way you can take the relaxer out of your hair is to cut it off... relaxers and perms are not irreversiable... THEY ARE PERMANENT ON YOUR HAIR

don't try it. Believe me, my hair was nice in the beginning when I couldn't keep my fingers out of it. And than the new growth came in and I had to spend more money to maintain it. And than it started to break... more money spent. And split ends.... more money.

and than I was looking for quick remedies in the beauty section MORE AND MORE AND MORE MONEY!

whew! never again... this girl is going natural from now on.

I have thick wavy poofy hair.?

i have the same kind of hair... big and frizzy... one thing i can tell you don't get it thinned out... my best thing to say is try a few different hair care products... sunsilk works for me but i hear tresema works great too... it all depends, you just have to experiment. and when washing try to keep the shampoo near the roots and the conditioner near the tips, thats one thing i found that works great... and getting your hair trimmed isn't a bad idea either, it always helps me, and about the staightening or relaxing, make sure you research it and remember nothing is permanant... also look up hot oil treatments... good luck with the poofy frizz, hope i could be some help

How can i get soft hair because i have really thick black hair?

I have thick and rug black hair and i want to get soft hair because of my head shape and my thick hair i look retarted i need to alter one thing and the other one is impossible. So i wanna know if i could get softer hair? is there any techniques or any products out there to help me get softer hair

How can i get soft hair because i have really thick black hair?

I have thick, 1'6"/45cm long hair, and it's soft as feathers. When I was 7, I stopped using a blow dryer, and decided to air dry my hair ( I also don't use hairspray FYI).

When you just get out of the shower, comb it right a way. Then when it's just about to get dry, comb it again. Of corse, in some circumstances, you would have to use a blow dryer. But, reducing the use of your blow dryer would let the hair time to heal from the heat damage.

How can i get soft hair because i have really thick black hair?

deep condition it.

you can buy deep conditioner at a salon

or ulta.

How can i get soft hair because i have really thick black hair?

a relaxer...but it'll screw up the texture of your hair for life

it's much safer to do what the girl above me said...condition it

How can i get soft hair because i have really thick black hair?

Change your shampoo and it CAN change.

How can i get soft hair because i have really thick black hair?

cholesterol Hair treatment.

How can i get soft hair because i have really thick black hair?

ok i think that the best brand name for shampoo and conditioner that works really REALLY well on me (for making my hair really REALLY soft) would be - SleekLook smoothening system by Matrix. thats the best! ok good luck!

How to volumize your hair

The style of cut can make a very large difference in the volume of your hair.

the best way to reduce volume on your ends is to stay AWAY from blunt cuts, and get a layered look, the more layers you have the thinner your hair will be at the ends.

for a more literal way to look at it heres this picture: http://i3.ebayimg.com/02/i/000/b6/22/c7e...

see how it's fuller at the top and at the ends it's skinny? but most people obviously wouldn't wear their hair like this, it's better to go with soft layers.

I personally like really long layered looks like this:

http://hairstyle.sighvogue.com/wp-conten...

or

http://hairzingers.com/images/sce/sandra...

despite the cut, you might be able to devolumize your ends by straightening them.

and you can add more volume at the crown by blow drying upside down, you can also apply mousse at your roots before you dry. also teasing it, and setting it with hair spray if you want to.

How to get thick hair (Picture Included)?

have more layers cut in to your hair and when you have washed it when damp put mouse on it and then blast with the hair dryer this will create a thicker and bounceyer hair style

How to get thick hair (Picture Included)?

If your hairdoesnt grow long it will definitely bring out the thickness and to let you knoe that is part track in her hair

How to get thick hair (Picture Included)?

1) Don't put all sorts of chemicals in your hair.

2) Avoid straightening it.

3) Wash it no more then twice a week.

Oh and if you're willing to get it all shaved, which i very much doubt, your hair would grow to be amazingly thick.

Had that done when i was a lot younger, helped.

How to get thick hair (Picture Included)?

It's basically the way her hair is cut, if you cut it choppy at the bottom and cut alot, but not acctually cutting it short [does that make sense?] then you will technically have less hair at the bottom and your hair will look fuller att he top. You can also use a Volumizing Mousse on your roots.

How to get thick hair (Picture Included)?

you can get the thickness from teasing your hair. My older sister does it and it looks fantastic!

I have really oily and thick hair! I also have sooo much dandruff!! What can I do to make my hair be

My dandruff can be so bad. At school, some kids will ask me why are there 'crumbs' in my hair! My hair is also so oily and when I'm just touching my hair, my hands will get super oily. The thick part is pretty easy to manage, but how do I maintain it more? Sometimes when I wake up in the morning, my hair will literally be twice the size of my head! I really need advice.

I have really oily and thick hair! I also have sooo much dandruff!! What can I do to make my hair better?

stop shampooing in the shower and try doing it under the fauct in the tub. i am a hairstylist and have asked girls with your type of hair to show me how they do it. these girls are actually clueless on how to shampoo hair.

1: wet hair THOROUGHLY

2: place in your palm enough shampoo (size of a quarter) and rub your hands together .

3: dab shampood hands all over head and hair.

4: massage scalp well. DO NOT RUB hair together (this will cause split ends)

5: finger comb hair from roots to ends.

6: rinse then TOWEL DRY (most important step)

7: do #2 with conditioner. apply from midshaft of hair to ends.

8: rinse with cool water.

I have really oily and thick hair! I also have sooo much dandruff!! What can I do to make my hair better?

seriously girl cut down on your conditioner... thats what causes dandruff and most of the time oiley-ness... the thickness shouldn't be a problem... thick hair is good...

I have really oily and thick hair! I also have sooo much dandruff!! What can I do to make my hair better?

Go ask a Cosmotologist/Hair Stylist.

I have really oily and thick hair! I also have sooo much dandruff!! What can I do to make my hair better?

I had the same problem! Then I used Celsum Blue! It really works! I love it! And also when you are in the shower comb your hair and only put conditioner on the bottom of your hair. Not all over it! That's what also makes it greasy! Hope this helps!

I have really oily and thick hair! I also have sooo much dandruff!! What can I do to make my hair better?

wash your haiir with egg for two week....

I have really oily and thick hair! I also have sooo much dandruff!! What can I do to make my hair better?

Try a short haircut, layered so it is less thick. A good beautician can help you with a good, cute haircut, and also help you with how to care for it. Be careful, because they will try to sell you their expensive stuff, and the cheap stuff is just as good.

Then wash it every day. Try dandruff shampoo for oily hair. Or, for the oilyness, use Suave and wash it twice.

I have really oily and thick hair! I also have sooo much dandruff!! What can I do to make my hair better?

Have the hairdresser thin it. She will cut it in such a way as to make it less bulky. For the oil, I heard there is a great product by Neutrogena. I believe it controls both oil and dandruff. Check it out. Until it all works out, avoid wearing black, and just ignore the kids at school because your problem is temporary and their rudeness will last a lifetime.

I have really oily and thick hair! I also have sooo much dandruff!! What can I do to make my hair better?

use neutragena-T gel you can get it at wal-marts

I have really oily and thick hair! I also have sooo much dandruff!! What can I do to make my hair better?

what you can do is bye seson blue my hole family has it and it works realy good and leaves your hair mosture and fresh and clean ps smells realy good

I have really oily and thick hair! I also have sooo much dandruff!! What can I do to make my hair better?

you must brush your hair regularly or you have to maintain how much shampoo you put also use effective shampoos and conditioners and you can also have a hotoil in the salon...

I have really oily and thick hair! I also have sooo much dandruff!! What can I do to make my hair better?

ok that first answer is a load of crap. conditioner doesn't cause dandruff. try a dandruff shampoo and wash your hair regularly. make sure your conditioner is light and not heavy, if its too heavy it'll add oil which is not what you want. don't blowdry -- it makesyour hair thicker because it whomps a ton of air into it.

I have really oily and thick hair! I also have sooo much dandruff!! What can I do to make my hair better?

Ok take it from me queen of oily itchy frizzy curly hair use less conditioner and less shampoo i use therma silk it is great. then apply conditer first! because the conditner adds oil and you dont want that so then do shampoo last to rinse the unwanted oils. then straighten your hair with a Hot Tools straightener. it works great. hav ne questions ask me!

I have really oily and thick hair! I also have sooo much dandruff!! What can I do to make my hair better?

i have the same problom use dandruff sampoo and biolage conditioner works likea charm

Can long layers help thick hair?!?!?

My hair is very thick and curly. I read in a hair magazine that having long layers helps take the bulk out of thick hair. Is this true?

Some say it is, and some say it isnt. So who's RIGHT?

Can long layers help thick hair?!?!?

They both are right. Depending on how your hair reacts and who cuts it. I have really thick hair..I went to get it cut; I wanted long layers because I didn't want to lose the length of my hair and I wanted others to notice my curls when I curled it. I wanted my hair to feel lighter due to this summer heat.

When I went to the salon all the lady heard was layers and lighter. She thinned out my hair which made tons and tons of layers but they are all different lengths so it is impossible to curl and because she cut so many layers my hair is super thick..and short.

I don't know what she was thinking. My hair is lighter but it's because it's gone.

Whatever you do or choose, whoever cuts your hair make sure they don't use a razor and say it's to create layers. No scissors can create even noticable layers..a razor creates split-ends and poofy uneven hair.

Can long layers help thick hair?!?!?

It might. But it might not with curly hair.

Can long layers help thick hair?!?!?

i think it is true....i have the most stuburn hair and i just got side bangs and medium layers because i got long layers once and i could barely tell i had them caus ethey are sooo seperated

Can long layers help thick hair?!?!?

layers will definitely help.but make sure they cut it with shape of your head,or sometimes it can end up looking like a lampshade.

Can long layers help thick hair?!?!?

Long layers will help divide the weight line of your hair, making it lighter and easyier to work with. It also helps get rid of some of the bulk in your hair.

Can long layers help thick hair?!?!?

in mine it did but i don't have curly hair if u got it straitend it might but i really don't know

Long thick black hair?

ok i have long black hair its pretty thick i want to change the color of it or get highlights or something... i need some help . Any suggestions?

Long thick black hair?

how about sum dark brown highlights...

not light enough to stand out...

but enough to tell apart...

Long thick black hair?

you need to have it professionally done. They have to strip the color off completely in order for the dye to take. Personal experience, i have the same type of hair and any time i ever tried to do it myself my hair would turn orange. Most black hair has red undertones which is what causes the orange tones if you try to do it yourself. of course this also depends on what color you're looking to go for. which then you need to consider your features and skin tone to see what works best for you. But it truly is best you seek a professional and not try to do it yourself the first time.

Long thick black hair?

Carmel highlights along your face. i prefer chucky highlights rather than thin ones.

When i cut my hair short,it turns wavy and thick..can i solve this?

hi!

i have this long hair that i've straightened some time back.the thing is, i'm thinking of cutting it short, mainly because i'd like a change to the short hair look.

my problem is that whenever i cut it in the past,my hair will become naturally wavy and thick. i don't mind the wave, but is there anyway to solve the thick hair? because it makes my hair look unkempt and hard to maintain..

thnks (:

When i cut my hair short,it turns wavy and thick..can i solve this?

You can go to the hairdressers and get her to cut into your hair with thinning scissors. Mostly having longer hair with the weight keeps your hair from going wavy or curly. Iget this done as i have thick wavy hair also and getting it thinned down will be easier managed better and better to work with when blowdrying

When i cut my hair short,it turns wavy and thick..can i solve this?

Ask your stylist to textuize it and see if that helps.

Thick/Wavy Hair!!!?

I have thick hair but it isn't that wavy...I use a leave in conditioner called 'Garnier Fructis Leave-in Conditioning Cream- Sleek %26amp; Shine' along with Garnier's 'Sleek %26amp; Shine Shampoo' and I notice a big differance while straghting my hair than when I don't....also...This may sound weird but Moose sometimes helps with my hair...

Thick/Wavy Hair!!!?

Try Biolage Smoothing shampoo %26amp; condition. You can only get it ion salons. I have pretty much the same hair-I use this, blow dry straight, and flat iron. Try Paul Mitchell Super Skiiny serum as well. It helps but we really should just embrace our natural texture! B/c this is such a hassle!

How do I get my hair thick again??? im black if that helps..?

Hi I wanted to know how to get my hair thick again because I used to have really thick hair and lately it has been thinning out but its long though like a little past shoulder length but I wanna know how to keep the length and grow it thick and long and healthy again like how it used to be possibly like Rudy Huxtable lol and I'm getting scared because I don't wanna have it all short and unhealthy and then have no hair at all! lol But my sister says that I should condition it like every week and stuff but I wanna know what I should do or use in my hair oh an if there are any professionals that could answer or help me that would be great!! Thanks a lot for all your help!!閳?br>How do I get my hair thick again??? im black if that helps..?

I don't know if you have a relaxer or not, but if you do have one then stop relaxing your hair. New growth is your natural, thick hair coming through. Instead of a relaxer just get it hot pressed or hot combed but make sure to use a heat protector beforehand; i like Silk Elements Products (heat protector, moisturizers, conditioners, shampoos). Each night wrap your hair in a silk or satin scarf. Get your split ends trimmed regularly like every 4-6 weeks, if not your hair will just break off. Also drink plenty of water, get enough sleep, exercise, and don't stress. Wash your hair once a week or two because the natural oil is good for your hair. Washing too much will break it off. Don't use a lot of oil in your hair since you naturally have enough and it can weigh it down. Your sister is right keep your hair conditioned and moisturized. Most products are ok for your hair just avoid anything with alcohol, always check the products ingredients.

How do I get my hair thick again??? im black if that helps..?

u cant really get your hair thick again but if u use volume shampoo it could help

How do I get my hair thick again??? im black if that helps..?

I don't really think you can make your hair thick again with any product unless you see a doctor who will recommend something.

Quick fix is just to start teasing your hair and using product to build up volume. Hope this helps.

How do I get my hair thick again??? im black if that helps..?

I am going through the same thing what you need to do is keep your hair moisturized and trimmed every time you wash your hair condition it get your hair trimmed every 4-6 weeks and keep your scalp greased olive oil works the best and if your hair is use to getting relaxed you have to keep getting it relaxed because 2 different textures in your hair will cause it to split .I hop this helps.

How do I get my hair thick again??? im black if that helps..?

Hey! First you need to get you an hot oil treatment....Secondly Listen to your sister, also get your split ends cut. In order to get your hair back stronger and healthy, my advice would be to you is to go to a hair salon every week and let them care for your hair. By the way, how old are you?

How do I get my hair thick again??? im black if that helps..?

Flat iron and thick hair?

hi, please explain to me how to get the best results in using a flat iron. my hair is past my shoulders, and extremely thick. it also has a spiral perm in it. I love the flat look but when i tried it my hair just came out frizzy. why?

Flat iron and thick hair?

Use an ionic flat iron. It will not curl back easly.

Solia makes a Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Flat Iron.

According to the Solia flat iron website, "tourmaline,

a precious stone, is used to generate up to 6 times more

negative ions than traditional ceramic irons".

Flat iron and thick hair?

Make sure you are using the right products- I straighten my hair almost every day and I use leave in conditioner first (it's a spray that is also a hear protector) then a bit of heat protecting cream, plus anything else I need, like a volumizing cream.

I do that when my hair is wet, then blowdry with a round brush without a diffuser, then straighten section by section when my hair is completely dry. If your hair is frizzy you also might need to put something else on your hair when you're done, like an anti frizz cream or serum.

Flat iron and thick hair?

have u used anti frizz serum???

when u straighten your hair always do the bottom layer and keep going up.

Flat iron and thick hair?

No problem at all you have to use a hair serum. A nice polish and then a sraightner. You will look absolutely beautiful using this. Try it. It will work. Good Luck. And make sure your hair is clean and blow dry is straight before using okay. HAve Fun

Flat iron and thick hair?

well you have to be patient while straghtening thick hair you know but umm noee

Flat iron and thick hair?

Buy the most expensive flat iron you can; the more you pay for it, the better the iron. And only 'iron' a small amount of hair at a time.

If your hair is really thick and this takes a long time, you may do better with a perm.

Flat iron and thick hair?

Yeah what these girls are saying are true, use the anti-serum and and the round brush, and than by using a flat iron after the blow drying, it will totoally not look like real thick hair, but beautifully shiny straight commerically hair. :) for real.. i dont heat my hair but maybe once a week if that, so I dont do the leave in stuff, but if you plan on it, for sure protect the hair.

Flat iron and thick hair?

I have really thick curly hair also this works really well for me. Use a smoothing serum after taking a shower, put throughout all of your hair. Then blow dry your hair with a round brush. You should use a spray of some sort that can protect your hair from the heat(ion anti-frizz solution works great!) then seperate your hair it helps a lot when trying to get your hair really straight. I really hope this helps!!

Flat iron and thick hair?

Apply a frizz reducing product (there are a TON) to wet hair. If may take a while to find the right frizz-free product... I would check with my stylist to see what brand they would recommend.

Use a round brush and hair dryer to dry the hair. Keep the air flow of the dryer angled from root towards end. Dry in the direction of the hair shaft.

Once dry let hair cool and heat up hair straightener (I recommend using an FHI brand straightner). It is helpful at this point to spray on a heat protectant (Kenra -Platinum Line- Heat and Protect is AMAZING). Section hair again. Straighten from root to end keeping straightener moving through hair at a constant rate. Do not let the straightener sit in one place for too long or it will create kinks. When you're finished straightening apply hairspray or other hair products as you normally would.

Flat iron and thick hair?

a cheap flat iron will leave it looking frizzy. use a chi. they cast about $100 but are well worth it!

Best shampoo for my thick hair to make it healthy?

I have pretty healthy hair but I want to grow it longer, so I was wondering what is a good shampoo that can make my hair really healthy so it could grow longer. I have medium-thick hair, already pretty long(almost past my chest). Anyone have suggestions that have the same hair type as me or just know what I could use?

Best shampoo for my thick hair to make it healthy?

biolage shampoo and condishner

Best shampoo for my thick hair to make it healthy?

okay, i have pretty thick hair and it's damaged from highlighting so much. (it's finally back brown and i aint touching it!) anyways im using "moisture maniac" it's by bed head, you can only get it at salons.. it's a good price for the stuff too.. i love it! i've used all different kinds of shampoos and conditioners and this by far is my faV!

Best shampoo for my thick hair to make it healthy?

SunSilk is a great hair product (just get the one that works for you).

Head and shoulders work well to.

Hairstyles for thick hair??

I have thick long brunette hair. It's 6inches past my shoulder. it tends to get frizzy and poofy alot. I wear it in a pony tail and straighten it alot. I have wavy hair. Anything else I could do, (if I let it down it gets all poofy and frizzy all over.) So i want some quick and easy hairstyles that I can do. i wana try different hairstyles... even if i have to straighten my hair but i dont like to straighten it everyday it gets to be a pain

Hairstyles for thick hair??

My hair is like that too. I have it cut into short layers and the hair dresser thins it out when she cuts it. That helps cut back on the poof and frizz, so I can wear it down more. Most days, I wear it in a messy bun. Sometimes I clip it up, or put it in a low side ponytail. Braids also work great, although with short layers you have to use a lot of bobby pins.

Hairstyles for thick hair??

How about a long thick braid...............? You could do it in the back one day and on one side over your shoulder the next.

Hairstyles for thick hair??

my friend does too, so she buts in a half ponytail and then curls the hair that is up

Hairstyles for thick hair??

Your hair sounds just like mine and something that I have started doing often (besides straightening) is taking a shower at night and then not brushing my hair, but sleeping on it semi-wet. This leaves it with really pretty curls in the morning.

ps: this works most of the time, but it is not totally predicable (sometimes you just get lucky...)

Hairstyles for thick hair??

I think your hair description fits mine pretty much exactly :) A few things I can recommend for the frizz - VO5 extra body shampoo and conditioner, for one. I love my hair, and I'd be up for spending a lot on shampoos... but I've tried pretty much everything, and this is my favorite! I get actual structured waves/curls with this, instead of either limp hair (like from smoothing shampoos) or a big huge cloud.

Also, if you're blow-drying.... air-drying really cuts down on frizz, and helps bring out actual curls.

For hair-styles - you can pull your hair into a low ponytail, but then on the last loop, leave your hair doubled, without pulling it through all the way. Kind of like how some people do a messy bun, but it looks a lot different with long hair.

Well, hope that helps!

Can I color dark, thick hair into rainbow shades without bleaching?

I haven't bleached my hair (ever), and I was wondering-- is there a way to get an unnatural hair color (like the blues, greens, pinks, etc) without bleaching? I have dark, thick hair, which is a huge problem with coloring unnaturally. Demi-permanent hair dye just doesn't come in sherbet, does it? Now, I have heard of henna, which doesn't come out unless you wash it with mineral oil, and comes in black, red, and brown.

Does it come in any pastels?!

Thanks for all your help, Answerers!

Can I color dark, thick hair into rainbow shades without bleaching?

you have to bleach it my dear, but you must be careful because you don't want to fry it out. Use a 30-40 developer. Good luck.

Can I color dark, thick hair into rainbow shades without bleaching?

rainbow hair? ew ew ew

I have thick hair?

i have really thick hair and i dont like it any one know how to get rid of really thick hair?

I have thick hair?

just go to the barber and ask them to thin it out alittle or shave your head bald

I have thick hair?

Shave your head. problem solved.

I have thick hair?

get it cut

I have thick hair?

why don't you just use gel so nobody will be able to bother you.I use gel every single day since 2005.It's really nice

I have thick hair?

i think your lucky. i have really thin hair and i've always wanted thick hair. anyways, i would try layering it.

I have thick hair?

Well, I have thick hair too, but I'm a girl so getting rid of it wouldn't look so hot! Just shave your head if it bugs you, or you can use some kind of gel that smoothes hair, so it feels a little silky instead of real thick. I would go bald otherwise. Of course I'd be a guy though!!

I have thick hair?

become anorexic itll drop out.

I have thick hair?

one of my friends has extremely thick hair and she got it thined which might work unless yours is RLLY RLLY thick (like hers is) then it wont change much

I have thick hair?

ask your stylist to thin your hair with thinning shears they have notches in them so it takes out small sections of hair so you can still keep your length also if you have your haircut done completely with a razor it will help reduce bulk

Thick wavy hair!?

i have really thick wavy hair is there some kind of a shampoo or conditioner that amkes my hair thinner nad straighter?

Thick wavy hair!?

I do too!

at first what I did was I tried straightening shampoos and I straightened my hair. But after a little while, I realized how dull my hair looked after I did all that stuff to it. Embrace your waves! There are thousands of girls who wish they had waves like yours. They might seem like a nuisance now, but if you style it right, you'll have better, healthier, and prettier hair than any of your friends!

And for the thickness, you can go to basically any salon to get your hair thinned. My friend did this-her hair looks so much better now! Plus, its a lot easier to take care of.

Good Luck!

Thick wavy hair!?

tressemme or

herbal essences...moisturizing one NOT THE BODY ENVY one it'll make ur hair thicker

GARNIER!

hey why do u wanna make ur hair thinner though? thick hair is awesom!

Thick wavy hair!?

be glad you have thick hair, b/c that means it wont fall out as you get older. but about straighter, if it is short, then if you let it grow some it will straighten out, if it is longer and wavy then try some straightening shampoo, or take omega 3's (fish oil pills) and they will put oils in your hair so you can straighten it w/ out it getting fried.

Thick wavy hair!?

hahaha me 2 well i use pantiene and i straight my hair every day after i washed it and it starts to grow used to it after a few days and now my hair isn't so wavy anymore

Thick wavy hair!?

Herbal escence works great for that. If you want to make your hair straighter also you can use a straightining eirn.

Thick wavy hair!?

i have incredibly thick wavy hair also....

i got a long layered shag. which helped reduce some of the bulk, and it worked well with my waves...

plussss

i used pantene pro v smooth and sleek, and it made a world of a difference.

it made my hair very soft and easy to manage, it felt alot thinner and it was shiny.

so, you can either aim to makng it straighter...

after a while, i opted to go back to my waves, so i used their curling shampoo with curling gel.

hope you find something that works for you.

THICK curly hair.?

hi

i'm a 16 year old male as the title suggests i have thick curly hair and i mean really thick tight curls and i would like to grow my hair. unfortunately my hair grows up and out not down. the hair i'm after is like james morrisons which was on the diana concert yesterday. is there anyway i can transform my hair from a thick afro to a more wavy/curl that can grow down rather than up.

THICK curly hair.?

Gel and mousse it.

THICK curly hair.?

Try straighting it i guess not really sure but thats what i do and i have really curly hair too so ya

THICK curly hair.?

i have really thick curly hair too, i am 17, i never heard of a way to get it to grow down, u may have to go some barber shop and ask a specialist

THICK curly hair.?

its called genetics, and unless you want to mess with chemicals and straightners your hair is your hair.. you could always go with dred locks

THICK curly hair.?

be sure to grow it out a bit before trying anything. why don't you try braids? might be hot..or not. you can also try a straightener on your hair and also maybe some conditioner or even leave-in conditioner. I'd try going to a hair salon if nothing seems to work.

Oh yeah, James Morrisons hair isn't really as curly as you say yours is, so I doubt it will look exactly (or similar) like his.

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

I would really like my hair just to be...wavy. But my hair is so thick that it doesn't hold curls for more than 2 hours.

please help!

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

layers hunny, lots and lots of layers. I have the same problem. Hot rollers are amazing! Also, start with a good shampoo. Just because it's spendy doesn't mean it's good. A great one for this hair and it's cheap is Ausie full volume. And it smells great. ONLY condition the bottom of your hair too, this keeps extra weight off the top. Before I even touch my hair to curl it I put in a good base product, moose can make it crunchy so stay away from that. Go with a volume booster, this picks is up and makes it look light. Then curl. After that use a good finishing product again stay away from things that will make it crunchy. Give that a try and if it doesn't work, hit up a local beauty shop and ask for a protein wash. It's a shampoo per-say item that works wonders.

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

go get a spiral perm!

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

maybe you should try getting it thinned out. That might help some of the weight off of it

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

use a hair curler

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

hairdresser or perm in a box

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

Scrunch it with a lot of mousse then go crazy with your hairspray!

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

if you want wavy hair try putting alot of moose on and hair spary to make it stay still.

thats what a bunch of girls do with there hair.

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

yes it will just curl a lil at a time my hair is the same just take a bit at a time it will it might take 30min tough but its worth it

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

my best friend has thick hair and she just got this thing call hot curlers !!! they work GREAT!! you can probably get them at hair cuttery or any beauty sallon!! i totally forget where she got it!!

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

a conditioner that makes hair wavy is good comb it threw your hair and leave it there for a while and rinse it off and see what happens when its dry .

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

try layering your hair

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

Get it thinned.

or maybe you can straighten it then curl it.

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

in my experience, setting hair overnight gives curls that last longer than hot curls. in your case you might want to use some hair gel (try one that won't harden) or a wax similar to matrix fliktrix right after you wash your hair, and then set it using foam rollers or rods (more comfortable to sleep on) while it's still wet. if the curls are too tight in the morning, just gently comb them out or brush them with a wire brush, and they'll loosen up into waves.

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

In my opinion, do not get your hair permed...it will kill your hair. Put some rollers or curlers in when your hair is wet or put them in 2-3 hours before you go to bed and spray them with adequate amount of hairspray. This will give you curly hair. You can also try layering them...that would only make your hair wavy.

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

LUCKY YOU. my hair is extreamly thick, but my hair has the most curls you could find on a single head, and it WONT STRAIGHTEN?

want to trade hair?? i would LOVE straight hair

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

get a strait pearm and get it layerd like i did and use moose and crimp it or u can get a curly pearm i tryed that but it came out the first day so that was a rip off.

Thick, straight hair. It WONT curl!?

get it thinned a little and use a curling iron

Wavy and thick hair?

my hair is VERY THICK and wavy/loose curls. does anyone have some suggestions on styles easier then striaghtening..more natural u kno

Wavy and thick hair?

ya, my hair was REALLY REALLY thick and i washed it every morning when i wake up and make sure i put alot of conditioner to make it strong and it turns nice and smooth and thinner. you can try the fructis long and strong conditioner. it makes it smooth, longer, and stronger.

also try the natures fruit kick with promagrame. a big red bottle. it gives hair moister and shine. ur hair will not be as thick :) straighten ur hair after u finnish washing and drying it. (best if u leave ur hair a bit dry for the straightening.it wont be as damaged too)

good luck.

Wavy and thick hair?

yes...i have extremely thick and curly hair too . . . all i do for a natural look is put in either moose or curling gel while it is damp, scrunch it, and then blow dry it! i try not to straighten my hair too much becuz it fries your hair and people would prefer curly over straight anyways . . .

Wavy and thick hair?

i hav the same hair. i try not to straighten it cause i did 4 years and i didnt want to keep burnin it. when i wet it, brush it then let it air dry, it gets curly but their really ugly so i buy a curling spray (matrix, only avaible at pro stores) but try pantene spray or somethin. after u take a shower, towel dry it for bout 5 minutes, brush it and spray the stuff in ur hair while scrunching it with ur other hand. u can blow dry it a little, but u hav to keep scrunching. let it air dry the rest of the way and if u hav bangs, keep them straight. my hair is a lot healthier now and a lot prettier. good luck!!!

Wavy and thick hair?

I have very thick hair too!! every few weeks i go into my stylist and get my hair thinned and layered. If you want layers, go for either short choppy ones, which work better with longer hair, or more natural ones, which work better with medium length hair. Hope that helped!

Wavy and thick hair?

k this is wut i do when i dont wanna straighten....

STEPS::::

First, brush your hair.

Gather all the hair on your head like you are going to do a ponytail, but do not do it yet. It helps to already have an elastic around your hand while doing this.

Start to wrap the elastic around your gathered hair like you would to a ponytail but only pull your hair halfway through.

Wrap the elastic around the little bun you have already made. Again, there should be some hair in the way.

With your hands, move the little pieces of hair sticking out around so that you get the look you want (basically so they are not straight up).

TIPS:::

If you have extra thin hair, you may want to repeat number 4 before doing number five.

If your hair gets knotty very easily or you have thick hair, you may want to use a scrunchie instead of an elastic.

There is no right or wrong way to do a messy bun. Just make it a mess!

If you feel creative, you can even go for things like colored hair extensions, flowers, a headband, or hair jewelry to get that extra "wow!!!" from people

WARNING:::

If you make a mistake, take it out CAREFULLY or you may wind up with a couple hairs coming out with the elastic.

WHAT U WILL NEED::::

An elastic or scrunchie

A brush

A mirror

Patience!

hope this helps

ooops i forgot to say that it is a messy bun.... lol heres a pic....

Wavy and thick hair?

Yes....I know just what you're going' through I have had a full head of thick curly hair since I was pushed out....You need to use Tresemme Moose...I done forgot what it actually says on the can but its black and has some green on it...I think it's extra hold. It's really good. You may need that or just get the Garnier skinny serum or any kind of frizz control. Good luck hun!

Where can i find hairstyles of thick hair?

i'm getting my haircut soon and i need pics of hairstyles of people with thick hair. i want pics of thick, medium lenghed hair with side sweep bangs.

i always find hairstyles of thin hair and then i show my hairdresser these pics (because i can't find thick hairstyles) and my hair never turns out. it's always a surprise to me. but about 95% of all the hairstyles i see, are of people with thin hair.. so if anyone could help me, i would really appreciate it. thanks!

Where can i find hairstyles of thick hair?

You'll definitely be able to find what you're looking for here:

http://beautyriot.com/

Everytime I get my hair cut I print a picture from that website. It has everything.

Where can i find hairstyles of thick hair?

You need to find a new hair dresser. Any style I give my hair dresser thin or thick hair she can do. It's some differences because of my hair texture but it is done and it looks good.

Where can i find hairstyles of thick hair?

use my hairstyle..ill send you a pic if i can find one online.

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

My hair is thick ish, i'm thinking about getting it cut to just above my shoulders and having long layers and having it thinned a bit. I also own GHD straighteners to tame my hair. Should i get it cut?

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

I have REALLY thick hair. Mine is cut just like you want yours.

I didn't have a problem.

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

yes.

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

its up to you, its all down to your face shape and whether it would look right but if your sure go for it

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

Yes, great idea.

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

if you want it to be shorter!

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

you definitely want to get it thinned out if youre going above the shoulders...

since youll be taking all the weight out your hair will want to get big..

a bob would look cute and be pretty easy to maintain.. as long as they take a lot of weight out...

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

Well thats up to you, but it would look nice layered.

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

my hair was really thick and i got it layered and now it looks better than ever!xx

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

Mine is quite thick too and that's the way I have it done except I have it a good bit past my shoulders. The straighteners is drying it out real bad though so I try not to use them too much.

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

yeah, sounds nice. Well, if your hair is like really long now, like down to your elbows or a bit above, and still thick, i wouldn't do it. i made the exact same mistake and my hair was puffy for like a year. if your hair is shorter than elbow length you should be alright. judge it. hope it turns out nice if you go for it x

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

No, because, you can use your hair to put them into different styles if they long and thick. If you cut them then you will have less methods to put them into shapes.

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

I have very thick hair, and have cut it short before. I've also used really great straightners and it's still real frizzy.

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

sure that would b cute

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

Sounds good.

Go for it =]

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

It would be a good idea to get your hair cut but what I would suggest is that you ask your hairdresser to use thinning scissors on your hair.

:)

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

yh wot hav u got to lose

I have thick ish hair should i get it cut?

no ur sooo lucky i wish my hair was thick and long its taking it forver to grow bak
