I recently ordered some thinning scissors to thin my thick hair out and I was just wondering is there a technique for doing this? and will it not make my hair uneven?

I have them used each time I get a hair cut. They always cut my hair normal then go all over with the thinning scissors. This thins out the under layers and allows the hair to lay/feather better.

I can tell a huge difference with just 10 snips with them all around my head. Feels like a few pounds are removed.

Use it sparingly and ONLY do it to the underside of your hair. It you do it on top, you will see uneven hair. It will make some of your hair uneven if you use it too much. Just a out a little bit and you should be just fine!

Well from experience ive known that its better to let the hairdresser do it. I have thick hair too, and just after you do it, it look really sexy and thin.. But in the end it ends up boofing your hair up more. I have kinky hair and unless i straighten it i have kinks stickin out everywhere. If you are going to do it yourself, make sure you do the middle layers and NEVER on the top. It will frizz like crazy.
