Well, I have thick hair too, but I'm a girl so getting rid of it wouldn't look so hot! Just shave your head if it bugs you, or you can use some kind of gel that smoothes hair, so it feels a little silky instead of real thick. I would go bald otherwise. Of course I'd be a guy though!!

one of my friends has extremely thick hair and she got it thined which might work unless yours is RLLY RLLY thick (like hers is) then it wont change much

ask your stylist to thin your hair with thinning shears they have notches in them so it takes out small sections of hair so you can still keep your length also if you have your haircut done completely with a razor it will help reduce bulk
