My hair is thick ish, i'm thinking about getting it cut to just above my shoulders and having long layers and having it thinned a bit. I also own GHD straighteners to tame my hair. Should i get it cut?

Mine is quite thick too and that's the way I have it done except I have it a good bit past my shoulders.The straighteners is drying it out real bad though so I try not to use them too much.

yeah, sounds nice. Well, if your hair is like really long now, like down to your elbows or a bit above, and still thick, i wouldn't do it. i made the exact same mistake and my hair was puffy for like a year. if your hair is shorter than elbow length you should be alright. judge it. hope it turns out nice if you go for it x

It would be a good idea to get your hair cut but what I would suggest is that you ask your hairdresser to use thinning scissors on your hair.
