Why is it when people see my hair they say I'm so lucky to have thick, curly hair. Yet anywhere you look, girls with sleek straight hair are the ones guys like better?

I have wavy and wish mine was straighter. I think people just want things that they don't have. Those with straight want curly and those who have curly wish it was straight. The grass is always greener on the other side they say.
