The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells awesome! They have different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, Albertsons, Kroger, Duane Reade, Safeway, etc. Its the best! You'll love it!

I need help on this one too, but I use Herbal Essence, the purple one that says something like for thick and curly hair.

Shampoo is shampoo. Use what is on sale.

I don't understand why you would want a shampoo that's going to add volume when you already have wavy, thick hair?

My hair is naturally curly (my friend says it looks like "mermaid hair" when I wear it natural) and I straighten it. The best shampoo I have ever found is Philosophy's Sheer Splendor line. If I use all of the products (shampoo, conditioner, and hair serum), my hair feels soft as velvet. It's pricey but soooo worth it.

Recently I've also started using Sunsilk's Anti-Poof products, which I found to be a reasonable stand-in for Philosophy at a cheaper cost.

If you want volume, get shampoo and conditioner that is volumizing. I have Bath and Body works volumzing shampoo and conditioner. Just go check good brands out in a store and look for volumizing. Something that really adds volume is Sebastian Double Body products. They have shampoo, conditioner, styler, and spray. We use it at the salon.

i use Sunsilk shampoo and conditioner - either the "de-frizz" (green bottle) for when i want to wear my hair curly or the "straighten up" (purple bottle) for when i want to straighten it.

i also use Paul Mitchell "super-charged moisturizer" conditioner.

i use the sunsilk shampoo first, then sunsilk conditioner and then paul mitchell (leave in P.M for atleast 5 min) (use P.M - only once a week)

comb your hair with a wide tooth comb in the shower! careful not to be too ruff... it will cause breakage along with split ends.

wearing your hair curly - i take a shower the night b4. follow the shampoo and conditioner steps... ring out hair (dont towel dry or blow dry) leave hair damp. i use sunsilk "de-frizz 24/7 creme (its kinda like leave in conditioner) i put it throughout my hair... then i add a little bit of "pantene" hair gel, and lift my curls with my hands... i then put a towel on my pillow and sleep with my hair down (while wet/damp)

the next morning i add a little but more of the 24/7 creme and gel to the hair... and im done!

wearing hair straight - follow the same shampoo and conditioner steps with the (purple bottle) i do it the night b4 also. [dont towel dry or blow dry hair!] try to flatten ur hair with your hands. wear hair down while allowing it to dry. then b4 you go to bed... with hair... almost fully dry, put it up in a "twisted bun" (ballerina style) this will flatten out the curls.

next morning - i use the Paul Mitchell "super skinny serum" along with the "CHI" straightner.

take hair down, (hopefully it will be dry, and not as curly) add a dollup of super skinny serum to hair.... section hair into sections, not to thick... and use a comb or a no static brush while straightning. after a section put it up in a loose, low ponytail, then start new section.. after all sections are done... go over your hair a couple more times, straightning out all the kinks from the hair tie. then add a little bit more of the super skinny serum...
