Controlling thick frizzzzzy hair?

Okay i have tried all sorts of things to get my daughters hair under control. It seem to be getting more and more unmanageable as she gets older. My daughter is nine and interacial (black and white) and has thick frizzy hair. She wants so bad to be able to wear it down, but it just cant be done without looking crazy. When its wet it has a nice wave to it, but lately even wet it is still very thick and somewhat frizzy. What products should I use to try to get a hold of this mess?

Controlling thick frizzzzzy hair?

have u tried using mousse on her hair?

or maybe straightening it? since shes so young i dont advice you to use hot tools on her hair yet, but if she badly wuns to wear ti down toan event or anything, it should be okay to use a starughtner, you can leave it down for about three das if it dosent get oily or greasy!

try using mouse to maintain the curls and making it look a lil stylish! but dont over use any products on her ahir now. shes too young to have products killing her scalp!

Controlling thick frizzzzzy hair?

John Frieda- Frizz ease extra stength formula hair serum

John Frieda- Straight ahead/Curl around shampoo and conditioner

Downplay- volume reducer by John Frieda

Secret weapon flawless finishing creme by John Frieda

All of the above are in the ''frizz ease range'' and are amaaaazing at controling frizz...also have you considered usin straighteners? GHD's are good for straightening thick unruly hair.. but make sure you use a thermal protection spray else it will become more frizzy.. i myself have curly hair which gets frizzy especially in winter.. make sure your daughter is drinking plently of water and eating a balanced diet as this also can contribute to dry/frizzy hair.. if she wants to wear it in curls/waves/ringlets i suggest the ''Curl Around Frizz ease range by John Frieda or TiGi Catwalk 'curls rock' curl amplifier which is great at holding curls and keeping frizz at bay... i hope that helps.. i wish someone could have told me what to do with my hair when i was 9 :-( lool good luck and merry Christmas Xx

Controlling thick frizzzzzy hair?

Awe! Don't feel bad, I myself have been struggling through the frizzy life throughout my childhood!

Now that I'm a teen, I started using Pantene Pro-v Conditioner!

It is a miracle worker, and provides quick results. !

Now my hair is a lot more managable and is silky smooth (not nearly as much frizz as I had at around 8)!

However, you cannot expect instant results the very first time you use it!

Continue to use it every SINGLE time she washes her hair, and try to let it sit in the hair for around 5 mins! It works!

Also, never brush her hair out with one of those paddle brushes. Instead, use a (big toothed comb) they provide alot less damage on your daughters hair. I use one all the time!

Especially use the big tooth comb when her hair is wet. BUT never over-comb her hair, and towel dry it - do NOT ever blowdry it.

Also, keep her hair trimmed well. This will reduce the effects of split ends!

Good luck!

xx
