Thick, frizzy Hair; Help!?

Okay. So, my hair is very thick, naturally wavy and frizzy. It's also layered. I need something that will take out the frizz. I tried the frizz-ease serum, but I didn't see much results. It takes me about an hour to straighten my hair. (I don't care to much for it to be straightened, It just takes out the frizz) But, I know it isn't really that healthy. Is there anything I can buy or do to make it less frizzy? Any help would be great!

I have problems with frizziness too. This is my hair regimen to get rid of it! (If you look at my avatar閳?you閳ユ獟l see that it really does work!!). Good luck! =)

1. Choose a shampoo or conditioner by looking for the words smoothing, moisturizing or hydrating on the front of the bottle (I use Pantene Pro-V for dry and damaged hair).

2. After washing, towel dry and apply a smoothing or frizz serum (I like John Frieda閳ユ獨 Frizz Ease閳ヮ泴ound at most drug stores).

3. Let hair hang dry until it is almost fully dry. When almost dry, finish drying with a blow dryer while using a round boar-bristle brush (work with small areas at a time 閳?do not let your hair blow all over the place, otherwise it will just become more unruly).

4. Make sure your hair is completely dry. If there is anymore moisture left it will become frizzy.

5. By using a 1-1/2 inch (or larger) curling iron or a flat iron, you can smooth out any left over frizz.

6. You can also apply a hair wax (like Bumble and Bumble Styling Wax) or pomade (like Got2B Defiant Define Plus Shine Pomade) now.

7. Finish off by using a flexible hair spray (like Finesse閳ユ獨 Touchable hair spray).

* Get your ends trimmed up at least every 6 weeks.

I do too. I love Big Silky Sexy Hair products. I use the shampoo, conditioner and shine serum. Also , they have Big Curly Sexy Hair with styling aids to help smooth and shine hair.

It sounds funny but beer (depending on your age) helps a lot...hey I aint kidding. A lot right from your fridge works, eggs (whites only), mayonaise, pickle juice, milk and honey (mixed well). Try some of those and see if they work for you. AND I DONT MEAN TO MIX THEM ALTOGETHER. ONE AT A TIME!

Enjoy your curls. I know people who pay lots of bucks to perm their hair and do it often.

I have very curly fine hair.

It goes frizz by looking at it, but it loves finger waves. Get a good haircut (short), and try John Freida's Curl Mousse. Then, just puff it up and seperate the curls with your fingers. Touch it up with a pick. Enjoy!

TIPS:

Wait until your hair is almost dry to blow dry it, and blow dry only if you need to for styling purposes. Flat irons on dry hair can not only help you tame the frizz but add shine as well. Every week, use a hair mask. It won't stop your hair from frizzing but it will go a long way toward providing a great foundation for your other de-frizz techniques.

When you wash your hair, rinse out the shampoo for two full minutes to make sure you've gotten rid of the residue. Then use conditioner 閳?every time! This will help flatten the cuticles and get rid of split ends, two allies of the frizz.

Cuticles on curly hair are automatically out of control because they are raised higher than straight hair. Losing 100% of your frizz may be next to impossible, but you can get close by cutting your hair in long, angled layers so that it lays flatter.

Another curly hair trick is to take your shower before you go to bed, add a little extra product than you would during the day, and wrap your hair in a t-shirt before you go to sleep. When you wake up, your hair won't be frizzy and should be dry, depending on how thick your hair is

A Few Rules For Perfect Product Application

Even the best products can fail if you don't implement them properly. Remember the following basic guidelines as you use any anti frizz products that you choose.

Don't use too much! Greasy hair isn't much better than frizzy hair, so use about a dime sized amount to begin with. Remember, you can always add more, but you can't take it away!

Apply your product while your hair is wet. This helps stop the greasiness and often may be just what your hair needs to tame those wild ends. Once it dries, if it still is too frizzy for your liking, add just a bit more 閳?but only a little bit 閳?by rubbing the product on your palms and smoothing your hands over any sections that need attention.

If one product doesn't work, try two. You may find that one product is too greasy and another is too clumpy. When this happens, try mixing the two together. For example, a small dollop of cream hair wax mixed with a squirt of hair serum is a great compromise to smooth fly-aways and style at the same time.

HOPE THAT HELPED.
