Short layers for thick hair?

im going to get short layers and i have thick hair do i have to ask for my hair to be thined as well as i intend to wear it down alot.

and does anyone know a website that can show me different side fringes, when i look them up on google bags come up :|

i plan on taking a picture of the sidefringe in with me because i dont know if they will do how i want it :)

You dont need it to be thinned out too. You need big choppy layers, depending on what length hair you have but say it goes just past your shoulders then I would start the layers chin length @ the back working down %26amp; just slight blending @ the front.

As for side fringe it is always better to have it graduated rather than just a longer length cut straight across. it hangs better when swept over.

i bought a bunch of hair mags and pick bangs from one page and layers from another they help alot definently get it thinned out my hair is thick and i get it thnned everytime i cut it

yeah i just got my hair cut w/ short layers (my hair now touches the top of my shoulders) and i have thick hair too!! i think it looks good straight or curly! i don't know about i website but hairstyles magazine has some cute haircuts! (you could see if they have a website)

I have very thick hair as well. I would go with long layers instead. They take a lot of the bulk out making it not so thick without actually thinning your hair out. And its very easy to dry it straight down. It also makes your hair lighter if you choose to curl it.

Find a picture of someone famous that you have seen wearing the style you're considering or get a hair mag as everyone has suggested. If you have super curly hair your hair could end up a little to big and spongy.
