Poofy, frizzy, thick, wavy hair! Gosh! Suggestions?

I have really poofy wavy thick hair that's frizz prone! Does anybody have the same problem and know of any really good but cheap products I can buy from a general store?

Your main concern would be a proper hair style including a cut that will suit your hair. Your hair is probably wonderful, you just don't have the right cut. A good stylist can create a style for your hair and then recommend the proper products. I'm not a stylist, so I'm not selling it - no one has perfect hair but a good stylist is the first thing that you need!! It is worth the cost to NOT go to Fantastic Sams or Betha's down the road!

My hair is extremely curly as well. And it gets frizzy especially in the summer. I use Garnier Frutice (however you spell that) I use the shampoo and conditioner that is meant for curly hair. Then I use the leave in conditioner and the hair milk. Then I use the gel and I have no problems at all. My hair is always really smooth and has the greatest looking curls. All of the hair products are around 2.50 each... Don't dry your hair all the way when you get out of the shower, let it still be really damp with some water still dripping when you put the leave in conditioner, milk and gel in. It locks in moisture

Most important - when you dry your hair, do not stop until it is 100% dry - it's the excess moisture that usually makes it go poof.

I love Dove's "Smooth and Soft Anti-Frizz Cream" - my daughter wakes up with bird's nest hair and one squirt of this stuff smooths and detangles. I use it myself too on those frizzy days. I can usually find it for $3 - $4 at Wal-Mart/Target, CVS, etc. It is a smaller bottle, but you only need one or two squirts, so it lasts quite some time. Dove also has an Intense Frizz Control, but I haven't tried that. Hope this helps!

i guest you have to shampoo your hair daily. and apply conditioner. you should also watch your diet coz what you eat affects your hair..... if it's hereditary you can't do anything about it. just a matter of acceptance...

Any cheap, gel. Get your hair wet, and run a little gel in it. You could by friz eaze, it wirks too, but you will get same results from hair gel. Just put a little, to get rid of friz, alot to make your hair shiney.

well i have the same problems with curly hair . just oil them well on sundays or holidays before washing and take some deep conditioning mask for ur hair i suggest garnier Fructis mask and after washing them condition them well .i use fructice products and they have done wonders to my hair they are almost free of fluffiness now they don't look frizzy ever . my tip :just condition them really well and they'll be fine in 4-5 times and also brush ur hair before they dry that way the would be less fluffy and frizzy also wash them with cold water instead of hot or warm water try as cold as u r fine with .

ps my mum keeps tellin me to apply curd on them too she says it is really good for nourishing them . try it if u can but be sure to wash them well after that coz mine smell of curd for about half a day after wards . try the curd if u want to coz i really don't recommend that .

do try garnier products and oiling that is the real trick . trust me my hair were worse than anyone else's earlier .

Theres your first problem there are no good, cheap products. I think all the products you find in a drug store are crap. Stick to professional products they are guarenteed.
