okay okay. i see your proble. if your mom doesnt mind ur hair getting a little fried. you can buy a 5- 1- dollar thing of perming at the drugstore. follow the directions. and if ur hair is as puffy as it says then just straightne every day while u have the perm in and it should work.

Okay, sorry to break it to ya, but conair (and other store brand hair appliances) often don't work as well as salon hair appliances. When I wanna straighten my hair, I use a Jilbere de Paris flat iron. They're about 50 bucks, but TOTALLY worth it. Try going to somewhere like Sally Beauty and Supply or Trade Secret. Good luck!!

Hmmm . . . well my hair is fairly puffy as well and I have learned a few tricks over the years, but I think your best bet is to ask your hairdresser! They know exactly what works and what doesn't. Best of luck!

if u dont mind your hair curly after u wash it use some extra hold mouse and then spray with some hair spray while it's still damp scrunch your hair a little and blow dry your roots on low for about 2-3 mins flip your head back over and kinda finger style it. you shouldn't have anymore frizz or puff.

You need to get an expensive ceramic flatiron like a Sedu. I bought one and have recommended it and she bought one and still thanks me to this day. Go to www.folica.com http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Ionic_Cera_d1...

Otherwise, you will need to go to a recommended beauty salon and ask a hairstylist for advice.

I know what you mean. I used to have very puffy and wavy hair until I did rebonding. I like the results, it is straight, silky and soft and I do not have to spend so much time on it like I used to. At the same time use hair care products from the saloon to maintain the new sleek look.

Help with thick puffy hair?!?

Yeah, you really are gonna have to stop buying and wasting your money on drugstore hair products.

You have a very specific hair problem, and those are made for the general populace.

You need to check out the beauty supply stores in your area where professional hair stylists buy their products.

For the damaged part of your hair, you need to go to a hair salon 1st and have them cut off all your split ends so you can start from scratch with healthy non-damaged ends.

Damaged ends will make your hair, no matter how healthy the folicle is, look like crap.

P.S. Conair straightener isn't gonna cut it. You need something that reaches 500 degrees (I'm not kidding). And you know when you straighten, you're burning the ends, so this results in more split ends and damages.

So before you straighten (while the hair is still moist, before blowdrying) you NEED to apply an antifrizz serum, more than you would at the scalp, b/c you're scalp will make natural oils and doesn't need as much. But the ends get really dry b/c they are at the end, blowing in the wind, rubbing up against stuff, etc...

I hope you understand what to do now. No more drugstore brands, and no more drugstore straightening irons.

And don't you dare go somewhere cheap like Fantastic Sams or SuperCuts for your split end trimmings, you need to hit up a REAL hair salon.

Good luck with it.
