Haircut for girls with very thick hair?

I have very thick hair, a little on the dry side. I condition like crazy! It is past my shoulders right now. I want to cut my hair short, but I am so scared that i will look like a thick headed poodle! Not really short, but maybe chin length. Did I mention my hair is naturally curly? Anyone know a good haircut for me? Like layers or something else? thanks

you should definitely get layers...it's a way of thinning out your hair and if your hair is naturally curly, it'll look awesome!

you need long layers, but dont cut too much because the weight of the hair will pull the curls down a bit. I also have super thick and naturally curly hair.

you might check out the pureology haircare line too. After using it for a few months, i dont even need conditioner! Its pricey though.

you should go really short, you won't look like a poodle i swear, i have the same kind of hair. i cut mine and gave it to locks of love and it looks awesome , i kindaq have a mini fro now, its ultra cute now

I also have really thick, naturally curly hair. I get a "swoop" bang and layers, and I part it on the side. I had my hair cut short before and it sort of flipped out and i hated it. hope this helps!
